Bill left really early with the boys to fly back home, so Willow and I were on our own. After finishing packing, we had breakfast in our hotel. It was lovely to have such a sweet breakfast date… and I’m going to miss those croissants.
We took the Eurostar from Paris to London. It was definitely the longest train I have ever been on – 20 cars! it went really fast through the countryside, and the tunnel wasn’t as long as I expected. It was a little creepy knowing that we were underwater during that time, but I played it cool for Willow’s sake.
London has pretty train stations too. We were so tired and hungry and focused on finding our way to the hotel that it didn’t occur to me at the time that we ended up in King’s Cross station. We could have totally had a go at the barrier between platforms 9 and 10.
Our hotel is really cute, and nicer than anything we normally stay in. We booked it with points. It just around the corner from Trafalgar Square.
London definitely has a different look and feel than any of the cities we have been in recently.
We were wondering if this used to be a gap between buildings, and at some point they shoved another little building in there
Willow and I went to see Six in the west end. we got the absolute cheapest tickets way in the back, but the theater was so tiny that we were still pretty close. It was hard not to sing along to all the songs. At the end they invite everyone to record the last song.
The inside of the theater was beautiful.
We noticed the flags on the train station and thought it was great to see on a public building.
