We had an early flight to Cancun, so we decided to stay in LA the night before to make the morning easier. We booked the Cambria LAX because they have an option to leave your car there while you travel. Liam liked the Bluetooth speaker built into the mirror. We had to get up around four to make our flight.
We originally had a nonstop flight, but JetBlue cancelled that route entirely, and we ended up flying Aeromexico with a stop in Mexico City. We tried a couple of lounges out for free food. The kids are getting to be really good at navigating airports, – they take turns leading the family around.
We were glad when we made it to our Airbnb, which was really nice. We had a private jacuzzi on the roof. We were also walking distance from a restaurant that our rental car driver recommended called Los Tarascos. It was AMAZING and we fell in love with tacos al pastor.
We were so tired that we slept in late the next morning. We had planned to take the ferry to Isla Mujeres, but we ended up just hanging out at the Airbnb, soaking in the jacuzzi, going back to Los Tarascos for lunch, and then going to the beach for a bit. The sand was really fine and white.
Bill and Willow made really cool drip castles on the beach.
We had a good time at the grocery store buying snacks. They had some things that we don’t have at home.
