St. Lucia

We arrived in St. Lucia at 9, just in time to get our rental car. Cars are driven on the left hand side of the road, so the driver sits on the right. Bill bravely volunteered to try it.

The road was steep and curvy and surrounded by lush vegetation, and around every turn there were stunning views.

Occasionally we would see a sign indicating curves ahead, which was hilarious to us because the entire road was curves.

The houses were multicolored, so the villages looked gorgeous next to the clear water.

River was sad at one stop and a nice man played guitar to cheer him up. Hugs helped too.

We stopped for lunch at Marie’s local food – it was as described. River loved the plantains and even Willow liked the chicken. Liam said that the fish danced on his tongue. There was a salt fish and green banana dish that was unusual. The atmosphere was nice too.

We went to the botanical gardens near Soufriere. There were so many plants and flowers and birds! It was fun to explore.

Liam found some snails!

The diamond falls were beautifully colored.

There was a lot of laughing and joking at dinner.
